This Mantra silk string lampshade is built from individual strands of olive silk thread wound around a rigid metal frame, forming a 300mm diameter base that tapers to a 190mm top opening across 200mm height. The parallel-wrapped construction creates vertical ribbing across the shade surface, visible both when lit and unlit.

Designed as a replacement shade or custom option for table lamps and floor lamps with compatible fittings, the shade suits E27 or B22 lamp holders and works with bulbs up to 60W. The olive tone sits between khaki and moss green, pairing with natural wood furniture, cream or grey walls, and linen or cotton textiles. When a bulb is lit inside, the silk diffuses light horizontally through the vertical threads, softening the glow and reducing glare compared to bare bulbs or clear glass shades.

The silk construction weighs 400g, light enough for most standard lamp bases without requiring counterbalancing.
