Description

The LYYT deep section LED profile is a 2m aluminium extrusion designed for surface-mounting LED tape where enhanced diffusion is required. The 16x12mm external profile houses an 11x9mm internal cavity, giving extra depth compared to standard shallow profiles. This deeper cavity allows the LED tape to sit further behind the diffuser, reducing visible hotspots and creating a more uniform light output along the length of the profile.

Surface-mounted profiles suit applications where recessing into the substrate is impractical or undesirable, such as retrofitting onto existing joinery, under-cabinet lighting, display shelving edges, or architectural accent walls. The aluminium body is fixed to the surface with mounting clips (supplied), and the LED tape adheres to the base of the internal cavity. The snap-fit diffuser then clips into the front channel, concealing the tape and spreading the light evenly across the 11mm visible widt
