Chiara table lamp design aluminum and anthracite – Flos

Chiara, designed by Mario Bellini in 1969, plays with the malleability of metal. The lamp takes shape from a sheet of polished stainless steel, first cut and then rolled up to form a cylinder: this structure evokes that of origami, la both extremely light and la strong personality.
Chiara Table’s origami-like structure conceals an LED source that reflects and diffuses light through a cap inspired by a nun’s wimple and veil.
