We stock the Zon as a trimless recessed downlight housing in white, the enclosure that sits inside the ceiling and holds a compatible recessed light module (sold separately). It is the metal frame you fit first, and once the plaster is skimmed flush with its rim only a clean aperture is left in the ceiling, with no visible bezel or ring below.

We reach for a trimless housing like this in plasterboard and false ceilings where the look is meant to be as plain as possible, so it suits contemporary and minimalist rooms in new-build homes, refurbishments and commercial fit-outs. It needs an accessible void behind the ceiling to sit in, and its perforated metal flanges lock into that void and spread the load across the board so the housing cannot drop through once it is set in place.
